Stormy weather

Big thunderstorm and dark clouds yesterday (yes, the wet season is on the way). Hannah painted the sunset after the storm … I think she’s pretty good with the paint brush (except for when she drips paint on the furniture!!)

Chicken coop

Oooh the Chickens love these cute little pillow houses that recently arrived from Finland (found on Etsy by the talented Kajsa Wikman, author of Scandinavian Stitches) plus a trip to Ikea today for a new rug has the spare bedroom all sorted.

Verry Crafty

It is September school holidays in BrisVegas and the cheeky chickens have had fun painting, cutting, pasting and creating all sorts of weird and wonderful things from my ‘craft box collection’ of biscuit boxes/egg cartons/toilet roll holders etc. And finally Ruby G’s wish for a swing has come true – a bargain buy from Bunnings was strung up under the Mulberry tree this week.

Gaston girl

I love the whimsical work of Meredith Gaston. I lashed out and bought Peony Mae with Paper Crane as a house warming present to me.  The Pomegrante Voyage is currently sailing in my entry foyer (really it was too hard to decide between the two).

Winter is working for me

I’ve always been a bit of a junk skunk. Aside from couches, beds and Ikea bookshelves I don’t think I’ve ever bought new furniture. Friends donated an old outdoor table setting last Sunday. It’s proving the perfect winter office.
